The 2023 Women in Policing conference, hosted by Police Scotland will take place in Edinburgh from Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th March 2023.

After a three year absence from the conference calendar the Women in Policing conference returns in 2023 hosted by Kaye Adams. Keynotes speakers include Gamal Turawa, Shelley Kerr MBE and Katy Parrott, with more being announced regularly on the @WiP2023 Twitter account and on LinkedIn.

Women in Policing 2023 will focus on the themes of Life, Leadership and Legacy:

Life - WiP23 offers colleagues in policing and their connections, the information, inspiration, motivation and momentum to help you discover what you want - and how to go get it!

Leadership - WiP23 aims to foster innovation in learning and development and create a diverse, energetic community of stakeholders across a variety of backgrounds in Policing.

Legacy - WiP23 will be a conference where established and aspiring leaders in Policing and beyond come together to leverage their strengths for workplace and personal progress focusing on the key conference themes.

The British Association for Women In Policing (BAWP) has a new website. The website has been moved to a more secure platform for us to share news from BAWP for both members and non-members of the association.

The new site includes information about the history of the association and it’s committee members and how to get involved. This platform will be developed to be a valuable resource to support women in policing and will provide updates on future BAWP awards, conferences and development opportunities.

Chief Constable, Michelle Skeer – President of BAWP said ‘The new website will be a useful resource for BAWP and its members.

“The website will showcase news about women in policing and will be further developed to give BAWP members access to a full range of support and networking facilities to help them with their career in policing.

“I look forward to working with the committee members to develop the members area which will host valuable information to support women in policing.”
