I am a recently retired Hampshire police officer. I feel strongly that supporting and encouraging people to utilise and further their skills and knowledge not only benefits the individual for the future but also the nature and quality of policing.
My previous roles have included Child Protection, Neighbourhood Policing, project work, Custody and volume crime.
In addition, I have been a Federation Health and Safety for a number of 15 years and a Maternity contact giving support to pregnant staff whilst at work and on maternity leave. I was also active member of the force womens network.
During my career I have worked across Hampshire including the Isle of Wight. I have brought up two children and have experience of working reduced hours for a number of years. Along the way I have also found time to study for a Criminology degree achieving a Bsc (Hons) 1st class and a Chartered Management Institute qualification.
I am passionate about the uniqueness of women within policing not only locally, but nationally and globally. Whilst a serving BAWP committee member I am also a member of the International Association of Women Police and the International Police Association.
