Annita is an Inspector in Bedfordshire Police and has 28+ years proven expertise in policing, leadership and colleague development.

She has a background in a wide range of policing disciplines including training, victim liaison, safer neighbourhood policing, leadership, supervision and critical incident management, and has project managed change within the demanding and pressurised business environment. By professionally conducting steering group meetings as chair she has enabled organisational and tri-force change, with a view to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Providing insightful and transformational leadership, Annita has overseen the implementation of modern management and procedural practices, concerning personnel, IT, reporting systems, and partnership customer-supplier relations, etc.
With personal and staff development being central to her progressive vision of policing, Annita developed and project managed an internal coaching programme in Bedfordshire Police in 2017.

Prior to this achievement, she was honoured to be awarded National Police Officer of the Year 2013 and subsequently the International Police Officer of the Year 2013 (criteria professionalism, mentoring, community and investigation).

Maintaining her personal development and continually pushing her achievement boundaries has been crucial for Annita. Concentrating on individual achievement, leadership and professionalism and the psychology of learning, she has completed various qualifications in these fields, culminating in a Master’s Degree in Coaching and Mentoring Practice in 2016. As a result of her Masters dissertation, Annita was awarded the Esther Carvett award for the project with the highest potential to do social good. She recently qualified as an NLP Practitioner, Time-line therapist and Hypnotherapist and has CMI qualifications in Leadership, Management and Training

Within her own community, Annita works as a Deputy Chair, Luton 6th Form College Career Ready Local Advisory Board and provides student mentoring for Career Ready students at Luton 6th Form College. As a springboard to this provision, she has designed, implemented and managed Operation Boost, whereby police officers mentor 6thform students who are academically underachieving. She also provides mentoring for charitable company UPRISING where unemployed graduates are provided support. At Keech Hospice, Annita is a bereavement volunteer, lifeguard and volunteer worker with 'sparklers' (child siblings of children who are deceased or have life limiting conditions)

On behalf of the UN, Annita provides overseas teaching for female Afghani and Tajik border forces. She has also provided corporate business logistics training for Winmark Global a company in London.

Taking this coaching and training to the next level. Annita has just begun her own company called Accretion Coaching and Training – accretioncoachingandtraining.co.uk.
She is also incredibly proud to Perform Region 13 (Western Europe) Representative position in International Association of Women Police and is a Committee member of British Association of Women in Policing
